Citystate Studio provided on-set VFX supervision and delivered nearly 150 VFX shots for the BBC adaptation of Lord of the Flies.
On Set — Langkawi, Malaysia
We were on location in Langkawi, working closely with the crew to plan and capture VFX-heavy sequences. This included gathering key reference and data, and helping shape how fire and creature work would translate into post.
Visual Effects
We delivered a range of work across creature, FX, and compositing, including:
CG boar and piglet integrated into live action
Fire sequences, combining FX simulation with practical elements
Element compositing to enhance environments and atmosphere
Approach
With a small, senior team, we were able to move efficiently from set through to final delivery, adapting to the needs of the production while keeping the work consistent.
